Land and Sea | lucaespo 𝄞 ♫ ♪ 🎸

When on the blue of the seas,
Zephyr blows his breeze
On the sails of proud vessels
And caresses the boats on the waves,
Leaving the weight of thoughts,
In inertia I can drown –
I forget the songs of the muses,
The murmur of the sea is dearer to me.
But when against the shore the waves
Roar and roar foaming,
And the thunder reverberates in the sky,
And the lightning flashes in the darkness,
Then the most hospitable oak groves
I prefer to the seas;
The land seems more faithful to me,
And the heavy fisherman I pity:
He lives on a fragile boat,
A plaything of the blind current,
While I in the safe silence
Listen to the rustling of a torrent.
