Family weekend trip in mid October with a full day of rock hounding at 3 different sites in Bancroft crowned the mineral capital of Canada.

1) CN Rock Pile in Bancroft
2) Behind Foodland in Bancroft
3) Titanite Hill in Tory Hill 40 minutes SW of Bancroft

Also checked out, the Bancroft Gem and Mineral Museum, walking distance from the CN Rock Pile. Visited the Lakeside Gems shop located on HWY 20, on route to Titanite Hill.
