There’s something electric about tracking a leopard on foot—especially when the trail turns into a drag mark and the tension rises. Join us this week as we follow the Nkoveni Female and her cub into unfamiliar territory, deep into the Sand River, far north of her usual range.

With the help of expert trackers Geshom and Tshepo, we manage to locate the carcass and catch a glimpse of Nkoveni just as darkness sets in. But the real magic unfolds the following day, as we commit to hours on the riverbank, hoping for a glimpse of her crossing back to her cub.

What follows is a breathtaking series of moments—graceful leaps through the water, golden light, and rare interactions between mother and son.
