INSIDE The Jewelry Collection of Princess Olga of Yugoslavia
The Kingdom of Yugoslavia had a remarkable collection of royal jewelry, even though it was only in existence from 1918 to 1945. The main branch of the family may have owned the Yugoslavian Emeralds, but there were even more stunning pieces awaiting us to see. And the main lady who wore all of the royal tiaras and amazing sets is Princess Olga of Yugoslavia, born Olga of Greece and Denmark.
Olga was known for her beauty, elegance, and intelligence. She was well-educated and fluent in several languages. Despite her royal status, Olga was known for her down-to-earth personality and her dedication to charitable causes. What’s more interesting, you may have heard she was often called Princess Paul, as it was usual for married royalties in Yugoslavia.
Despite the exile and hardships, we want to pay tribute to her gorgeous looks and beautiful royal jewelry such as the Boucheron Diamond Tiara, Greek Ruby Parure, the Riviere Necklace, and more sparklers from the royal treasury. Although she had more jewels to attend the events, only some of them were put on display. You will find out about the mixed history of her jewelry that either come from the Greek royal family as heirlooms or from her husband, Prince Paul of Yugoslavia.
