In today’s powerful documentary-style video, we visit the site of an old coal mine undergoing a dramatic transformation. The area is being rehabilitated and repurposed for the construction of a hydroelectric power station — a prime example of turning industrial land into sustainable infrastructure.

To prepare the field and the massive water tank needed for the hydro station, enormous quantities of material must be moved. The terrain is harsh, with hard rock layers that challenge even the toughest machines.

The project uses a full fleet of modern heavy equipment, including:

Hydraulic Breakers & Rippers
Used for breaking through tough bedrock layers, these attachments are mounted on large excavators to fracture and loosen the ground before digging.

Excavators
Once the rock is loosened, large hydraulic excavators load the fragmented material onto trucks. Machines from Caterpillar, Liebherr, and others can be seen working simultaneously.

Truck Fleet
4-axle Mercedes and MAN dump trucks move thousands of cubic meters of material to designated storage and processing areas.
