Living Free from Condemnation _ Depression Pastor Christine Miller
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus…” Romans 8:1
Satan will try to bring condemnation on you, especially when you go to pray. He’ll try to sidetrack you with thoughts of your past and where you’ve missed it. Satan knows that if he can get you to accept condemning thoughts that your faith won’t work and your prayers will be ineffective.
If you’ve done something wrong and haven’t repented yet. Do so! The quicker you repent, the quicker you will be forgiven and back in fellowship with God.
1 John 1:9 tells us “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” When God forgives your sins, He also forgets your sins. He doesn’t bring up your past and rub it in your face.
If God chooses to forget your sins, shouldn’t you forget them also? Once you’ve repented, forgive yourself and live free – free from condemnation, worry, fear, and guilt. Live the life God has authored for you!
