The Life Cycle of Wheat Stem Rust

Wheat stem iron disease is caused by the fungus Puccinia graminis. The fungus is spread by cells through the wind, penetrates the plant tissue, and forms scars. Through the stages: chromosome - development - sporulation - transmission. The fungus needs an alternate host (hawthorn) to complete its life cycle.
