Africa Twin Motocamping Gear Test: Campfire Building, Tusk Pilot Panniers and Chairs, and Snow

After riding around on our Honda Africa Twins in search of a motocamping spot, we finally found one that looked good. So good, in fact, that we decided to bust out some of our motocamping gear and put it to the test on the spot. Using my Agawa Canyon Boreal 21, I cut down a dead tree and we chopped it up into useful-sized pieces that I then split with my Fiskars X7 Hatchet. Then, the ultimate motocamping gear test: building a fire. Fortunately I was able to get a campfire going with minimal difficulty, and Mclovin and I hung out around it and put my new Tusk Compact Camp Chairs to the test. The Tusk folding chairs were very sturdy and comfortable and are a perfect solution for motorcycle camping adventures. After hanging out by the fire for a while, we decided to pack up our gear and head home. My new Tusk Pilot Panniers performed very well, carrying all of my gear with room to spare and keeping everything inside clean and dry thanks to the dry bags that are included with the soft luggage. After getting everything loaded back up on the Africa Twin, we headed back up the hill and out of the forest. Along the way, we were hit with a sudden freak snow storm! My Africa Twin snow experience is limited, so I was stoked to have the opportunity to put it to the test in snowy conditions on the ride home.
