I take you to the streets of the council estates where these conflicts occurred and show you that a new trouble seems to be brewing. Mass immigration..

But Belfast’s story didn’t stop in 1998. Today the city faces new social pressures, including rapid population growth, rising housing costs, and the strain on schools, healthcare, and jobs brought by increased migration and asylum-seekers over the last decade. We look at how local residents, newcomers, and community leaders are responding to these changes, and ask whether the lessons from Belfast’s divided past can guide it through present-day challenges.
