The Tomb of King Michu is a historic site that is found in Gyeongju. It is located in the Daereungwon Ancient Tombs. The Tomb is dedicated to King Michu, who was the 13th ruler of the Korean State of Silla from r 262 to 284. He was the first king of the Kim clan to sit on the Silla’s throne. He defended Silla from an invasion by the neighbouring Baekje Dynasty and encouraged cultivation. The Tomb is one of the best-preserved tomb sites in Hwangnam-dong, Gyeongju. This is a round mound-type tomb with a height of 12.4m and a diameter of 56.7m.
