Artist Sergei Pavlovich Kuritsyn was born in the city of Arkhangelsk in 1962. He studied at the art school in Arkhangelsk.
Since 1991, the artist has been painting professionally: he paints landscapes and still lifes. His paintings feature landscapes of his native Arkhangelsk region and landscapes of the Russian north.
Paintings by S.P. Kuritsyn are in art salons in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Kotlas, Syktyvkar, and in private collections in Russia and abroad.
