The Castellows - No.7 Road at Budweiser Stage in Toronto, Canada,
BUDWEISER STAGE
As Powell says at the start this is the band's first song released about them and their home in south Georgia.
She also says it feels nicer in Toronto, referring to the heat. Truth is they arrived just in time to avoid the Environment Canada heat warning and air quality warning from the northern fires earlier in the week. Glad the weather cooperated. If they had arrived earlier (and the NBC Jenna & Friends taping in NYC was not postponed) Birdie may have though a little differently about Toronto weather. We were lucky that it had cooled down by show day and there was a south wind off the Lake all day that drops the temperature quite a bit :)
This was a great show IMHO. And I've seen 14 including a short set opening for Little Big Town. With all the energy and the ladies working the catwalk on the stage and enjoying themselves it filled me up like I saw a full set, even though it was just 7 songs.
Working the catwalk meant that Lily rushed back for the second verse line dance they all do together. She got a little out of sync at the beginning which is no big deal at all. You have to roll with it, have fun and laugh it off right?
Back to this song No. 7 Road. We got to visit Georgia for the first time for the Statesboro and Milledgeville shows, and got to see the 'little slice of heaven' they sing about, and walk on some red dirt and see some real Spanish Moss (well that is in Homecoming, not this one). And we saw Georgia again, including the Chattahoochee before the Dothan show. Great scenery, great food and above all great southern hospitality from all the folks we met. I get why its a little slice of heaven.
Enjoy @thecastellows :)

PS - I hope when The Budweiser Stage is rebuilt The Castellows can come back and play a headlining show, kinda like Thomas Rhett spoke about in his show after this. Ontario Place will be rebuilt and be a little slice of heaven again. It sure was that growing up and will be again soon.
