Why Wall Street is moving into Alabama

Wall Street investors are now targeting Alabama, buying up hundreds (if not thousands) of homes to rent out. There are now so many rentals on the market in Alabama that the investors are being forced to cut the rent.

In this neighborhood in northern Alabama (in Athens, which is near Huntsville) I counted 7-8 homes on the market for rent. Most of these were from a single investor called Main Street Renewal, who targeted this neighborhood for their rental portfolio.
