Unit 3: Toys
Lesson 1: My Toys
This unit focuses on toys. In this first lesson, which takes place in a single session, the students will learn to recognize and name six toys: a teddy bear, a robot, a ball, a doll, a car, and blocks.
Lesson 2: Small or Big?
The second lesson, which will take place over two sessions, will allow them to differentiate between "small" and "big," review the names of the toys and the three known colors, and form groups of words (for example: a small yellow robot).
Lesson 3: Wanting and Playing
In the third lesson, which will take place over two sessions, the students will be encouraged to choose a toy and say which toy they are playing with. This lesson is also an opportunity to encourage the students to participate in tidying up.
Lesson 4: It’s Time to Play
In the fourth lesson, which will take place over two sessions, the students will discover the story "It’s Time to Play!" They will use everything they have learned in the previous lessons to understand the story.
