I Built a Self-Sustaining Aquarium Ecosystem

In this episode I present the evolution of the aquarium over a period of almost 2 years. The natural plants grew without the addition of carbon dioxide, liquid fertilizers or roor tabs. For 600 days, many unpredictable things happened and I had to make many risky decisions. So I decided to stop doing water changes and to remove the water pump from the aquarium, leaving the aquarium without water circulation. From every decision I made, I learned new things. The plants act as a filter. The bio-chemical reactions in the substrate provide nutrients to the plants. Everything is in perfect balance. This is an ecosystem!
