On August 25, 2025, Shanghai was suddenly hit by hail. Strong winds, heavy rain, and hailstorms poured down. The hailstones were as big as soybeans and densely packed together. Shanghai's weather is truly bizarre: one moment it's over 30 degrees Celsius, the next, there's strong winds, heavy rain, and hail.

Under the influence of the subtropical high pressure, Shanghai continues to be scorched by high temperatures. At 8:00 AM on August 25th, the Shanghai Meteorological Observatory issued an orange high temperature alert, predicting a high of 38°C that day. At 9:10 AM, the temperature at Xujiahui Station had already broken the high temperature mark, marking the 20th day of this heat wave.

Starting in the afternoon, Shanghai's weather suddenly took a turn for the worse, with a series of thunderstorms, strong winds, heavy rain, and hail.
