In the Male Emu pen one of the emus was getting picked on and had gotten an eye injury. We decided to move him to a pen with a lone female so he would be safer. It was my first time trying to move and emu and it's not nearly as easy as I though it would be. Add in a giant log and a bunch of kicking from the emu and I got hurt worse than when I got bit by a 8 ft alligator. But we safely moved the emu. One of the vets from Alameda East helped Jay check the eye and the bird was released. It's safe to say I'll stick with catching and moving alligators.
