This unit is themed around animals. In this first lesson, which takes place in a single session, students will learn to recognize and name six animals: a mouse, a bird, a fish, a cat, a rabbit, and a turtle.
Starting from this unit, we invite you to regularly review the vocabulary from previous units with the students. Several opportunities are suitable for revisions. Students can receive a picture card that they must name:
– at the time of greeting or roll call;
– when they go to sit at their place (card face down on their chair or table);
– to be allowed to leave the French class.
This revision should be productive and experienced as a game. Consider giving a choice between two answers. For example, if you show the card "robot," say: "Is it a fish? Is it a robot?" This type of revision is also an opportunity to remind students of generic names such as "animals," "the body," "toys," etc
