SpaceX's Insane Solution to SAVE the NASA ISS shocked Russia, even China...
SpaceX is the best solution to save the NASA ISS!
Recently, NASA completely rewrote the rules for its private space station program. Under these new requirements, only three companies made the cut: SpaceX, Axiom, and Vast.
And guess what? Elon Musk’s Starship Space Station project really stands out, with more potential to replace the ISS once it’s retired in 2030. Part of the reason is that both Axiom and Vast still rely heavily on SpaceX, the only company that can actually make their goals happen.
So, what exactly is the Starship Space Station? And why might it be a more practical solution than what Vast and Axiom are working on?
Let’s find out in today’s episode of Alpha Tech.

Last Monday, August 4th, NASA’s Acting Administrator Sean Duffy signed off on a brand-new directive to speed up the push for private commercial space stations. Why? Because the ISS is set to retire in 2030, and if nothing changes, the whole replacement plan could stall, or worse… vanish completely. Meanwhile, China’s Tiangong station is expected to keep running at full strength.
In the document, Duffy makes it clear: “To reduce the potential for a gap of a crew capable platform in LEO, it is important to move quickly in the acquisition using available funds.” In other words, NASA needs a better game plan.

But here’s the catch, Duffy’s directive admits there’s a massive funding gap… almost 4 billion dollars short. That’s thanks to budget changes aimed at making sure taxpayer money is spent wisely. Now, the president’s request only sets aside 272 million dollars for 2026, and just over 2 billion spread over the next five years to develop and deploy the next-gen commercial stations.
That amount? It’s only enough to support maybe two or three projects.
Right now, NASA has already awarded initial space station development contracts to five different companies SpaceX, Northrop Grumman, Blue Origin, Axiom Space, and Voyager Space.
