SpaceX revealed Ship 37 Big Move after RVac Swapped...Starship Flight 10 Delay!
Oh no, what is happening at Starbase? SpaceX seems to redo the static fire test for Ship 37, after engineers discovered a serious issue with the Raptor engine.
And yes, that could mean Starship Flight 10 gets pushed back even further, possibly even into September.
So, what exactly is the problem here?
Let’s break it down in today’s episode of Alpha Tech.
SpaceX revealed Ship 37 Big Move after RVac Swapped...Starship Flight 10 Delay!
On the very first day of August, SpaceX successfully completed a full-duration static fire test of their 37th Starship. The test lasted around 40 seconds, with all six Raptor engines running smoothly, no issues, no hiccups. That’s a clear sign: they’re gearing up for an early August flight.
Elon Musk even confirmed it on X, saying “Tracking to launch Starship mid August.”
Things moved fast after that. Ship 37 was quickly rolled back to Megabay 2 for final preparations, finishing the heat shield, installing the Flight Termination System, inspecting the Raptor engines post-burn, and so on.
Meanwhile, over at Launch Pad A, engineers removed the ringwall from the Orbital Launch Mount, basically the “Starstool” that supports the upper stage during static fires, and brought it back to the Sanchez site.
On August 4th, they also took off the special plumbing setup that fed propellant into the adapter designed specifically for Ship 37.

Fifteen out of twenty hold-down clamps on the launch mount have also been reinstalled on the OLM. Earlier, they had to remove them to make room for the ringwall adapter used during Ship 37’s recent static fire. These clamps are critical components of the system, designed to firmly secure the Super Heavy booster during pre-launch operations.
However, things immediately started to take turn around 12:30 AM on August 5th. Cameras at Starbase captured something unusual, workers were seen removing a Vacuum Raptor engine from inside Megabay 2 and bringing a different one in.
It seems that just one day after returning to the bay, Ship 37 was found to have an issue with its engine system, one serious enough to require an immediate swap.
