Starr's Golden Retriever puppies 1st week of life journey!!

Starr & Boba had 9 puppies June 19, 2025. Here is a look at their 1st week of life in the great big world. As my husband says, they still look like hamsters when they are first born. Each day they get stronger, a little more hair and look closer to what we think of as a puppy. They get fed by mother Starr and also use her heat to keep warm. They can scoot pretty well by the end of the week and use their heat sensors to be able to locate mom's whereabouts at feeding time - which is most of the time. Eat, sleep, get bathed by mom. What a life! We weigh the pups daily (sometimes more) to make sure everyone is eating well and on track. At 10 days old we want their weight to be double their birth weight. Days 3-16 we practice Early Neuro Stimulation & Early Scent Introduction to help stimulate the senses & build confident pups.
