A major ruling from the Supreme Court has brought an end to nationwide injunctions by district judges and could unblock many challenges facing orders by President Donald Trump. In a 6-3 opinion, the justices have determined that nationwide injunctions are no longer legal, unless they’re done through class action lawsuits. This means all of Trump's executive orders that had been blocked by district judges are free to progress forward.

This could impact birthright citizenship. While the Supreme Court decision did not end birthright citizenship, it allows Trump to begin enforcing his executive order that ends birthright citizenship going forward.
