印太地區規模最大的多國聯合軍演——「護身軍刀」，週日（7月13日）在悉尼港拉開序幕。數萬士兵將在多個不同地點展開演練。在週一（14日）的聯合實彈演習中，澳大利亞首次發射了美國製造的「海馬斯」遠程火箭系統，擁有這款武器是美國的印太盟國應對中共區域威脅的優先選項。
