The Life of Jesus: Worship, Grief, Restoration & Community

In a special Christmas message, several pastors at The Potter’s House of Dallas reflect on what the life of Jesus means to us through worship, grief, restoration, and community.

Dr. Oscar Williams invites us to see worship as an active pursuit of God’s glory, much like the three wise men who journeyed far to honor the newborn King — not for what He had done, but for who He is.

Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts relates how, for some, the holiday season can be a time of grieving. The compassion of Christ, revealed in Luke 7, reminds us that He came to comfort and bring hope to the brokenhearted.

Pastor Don Johnson shares how Jesus also came to bring restoration and renewal. Through the story of Mary and Elizabeth, we see the miraculous fulfillment of God’s promises in their lives.

Lastly, Pastor Touré Roberts discusses how we build community through our kingdom relationships. This season, we celebrate the gift of meaningful connection with Him and each other.
