Taking a little trail run into the Lake Waikaremoana Track. This is a brilliant stop on the eastern North Island in the Te Urewera National Park. It is also one of the lesser well known great walks!

I checked out the higher section of the 43km Lake Waikaremoana hike! I only did about half of that distance (23k) but still a hefty 1250m⬆️. Would love to run the whole thing someday​ when these beginner's legs strengthen up.
