My wife has a six-pack after two kids
I had a dad bod while my wife had a six pack. š¤¬
Here's what I realized ā¬ļø
My wife and I have a pretty similar dietā
we live together, obviously, and she has a much bigger sweet tooth than I do.
Sheās had our two kids, and sheās walking around with basically a six-pack all the time.
It used to frustrate the hell out of me.
Iād be like, I see what youāre eating, I see what Iām eating, I see what you look like, and I see what I look like.
And Iād chalk it up to geneticsāyou know what I mean?
But I wasnāt willing to get brutally honest with myself and ask, Whatās really going on here?
The number one piece of advice I give people is this:
Change absolutely nothing about what youāre doing right now. Seriouslyāchange nothing.
This is the easiest path.
Donāt change your diet, donāt change your exercise routine.
All I want you to do is track every single calorie you put into your mouth for the next 30 days. Thatās it.
Download MyFitnessPal or whatever tracking app you like, and log everything.
But hereās the key: it has to be every single one.
It can't exclude that handful of fries you stole off your wifeās plate.
It canāt leave out the dinosaur chicken nugget you snagged from your kidās dinner.
You canāt skip dipping sauces just because they ādonāt count,ā or pretend that liquid calories donāt matter.
They do. Every single calorie counts.
And thatās what I did. Thatās what made me realizeāoh, there they are. Thatās the difference.
I was eating well all day, but I was still sneaking in the āBLTsāā
the bites, licks, and tastes throughout the day.
They add up, man.
That handful of fries dipped in ketchup? Boomā130 calories.
Seven random chips? Another 70ā75 calories.
And if you're hovering right at that thresholdāright at the line of calories in vs. calories outā
those little things push you over.
Bottom line?
If you consume fewer calories than you burn, you will lose weight.
