Derlin Newey, even at the age of 89 years, had to work as he was struggling to make ends meet.
The old man started working as a delivery driver at a Utah Papa John’s. When Derlin first took the job, all he wanted was to have an extra source of income to help him pay his bills and have a decent living. He never expected how events would turn, and definitely never imagined his delivery job would literally change his life forever. Life has its own weird ways in surprising us, and this was how it surprised the old man. His world turned upside down after a family recorded their interactions with the elderly man, without him knowing.
Derlin was recorded on camera, while he was having friendly conversations with the Valdez family as he delivered the pizzas they ordered to their home. Little did the elderly man know, those clips were shared online by Carlos Valdez and his wife.
