A new incredible vault has been added to the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Code of Points following the 2025 Asian Championships, held in South Korea: during the qualification round, Mahdi Olfati of Iran became the first gymnast to land an outstanding Full-Twisting Yurchenko Double Tuck in competition.

The Olfati has now joined the table of elements with a 5.6 start value and consists of a round-off back handspring onto the table, followed by two somersaults in a tucked position with a full twist. This is Mahdi’s first eponymous skill in the rulebook of the discipline.
