Sarasota County just approved one of the most controversial developments in recent memory: 5,000 homes on more than 2,200 acres of once-rural land, east of Lorraine Road near Old Myakka. It’s called Lakewood Ranch Southeast - and it just got the green light.
But this video isn’t just about real estate. It’s about land, identity, and the kind of future we’re voting for - even when we don’t realize it.
We’re not here to get political. In fact, we don’t even know the party affiliations of the commissioners who voted. But we do know this:

👉 This rezoning passed by just three votes.
👉 And the majority of public comments were against it.
