Ludwig van Beethoven: Klaviersonate Nr. 1 in f-Moll op. 2.1 - Roman Fediurko
Roman Fediurko has won the 5th Bechstein Bruckner Competition Austria 2025. In addition to 1st prize, he also won the Beethoven Special Prize and the Bruckner Special Prize.
The Bechstein Bruckner Competition Austria is a collaboration between the piano manufacturer C. Bechstein and the Brucknerhaus Linz. The competition promotes young pianists studying in Austria and honors the country's rich musical tradition: Austria is home to nine universities and conservatories offering a solo piano course, which fosters a rich diversity of young pianistic talent. For this reason, the nominees are distinguished simply by being selected to compete in the 5th Bechstein-Bruckner Competition as representatives of their university or conservatory.
Roman Fediurko was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, in 2004. He showed exceptional musical talent at a young age and completed his early musical training with Galina Kozjuba in 2021. In the same year, he became a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein and received the prestigious scholarship of the President of Ukraine for young artists. Since 2021 he has been studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (Austria) in the class of Prof. Dr. Milana Chernyavska.
