SpaceX launching Starship Flight 9 to orbit finally on the edge
Awesome! Ship 35 and Booster 14 are finally ready for their historic flight!
After a timeline full of twists and turns from SpaceX, they’ve finally made a firm move toward launching for Starship Flight 9.
Both Ship 35 and Booster 14 were swiftly rolled out to Launch Pad A on the 25th, under perfect conditions, and now, the final pieces of the puzzle are almost in place.
This will be the biggest and most impactful flight yet, a major leap forward in SpaceX’s journey.
So, what can we expect from this groundbreaking launch?
Let’s dive into today’s episode of Alpha Tech.

SpaceX has officially confirmed Flight 9 will happen on Tuesday this week. The announcement sparked excitement and anticipation among fans and space enthusiasts, bringing back memories of the legendary Apollo missions.
Now, before we get into the mysterious details of this flight, let me give you a quick update on Ship 35 and Booster 14.
On the night of the 24th, SpaceX successfully installed 8 Dumlinks, weight simulators for Starlink satellites, into Starship 35’s payload section. Everything passed the checks, and this time, we’re set to see the ship actually launch satellites into orbit, unlike Flights 7 and 8, which both carried payloads but exploded before they could deploy them.

After installation and final checkouts were completed, Ship 35 was rolled out to the launch pad around noon on the 25th. Just two hours later, it arrived and was placed right next to its partner, Booster 14.
As for B14, it’s been ready for this flight for quite some time — it was installed on the OLM a full 10 hours before Ship 35 even arrived, preparing for SpaceX’s first-ever attempt to reuse a booster.
Both looked ready for their historic flight, and prepared for the worst-case scenarios, because SpaceX has made it clear that a fiery breakup on landing remains a real possibility.
While not officially confirmed, detailed information about the flight has already been published on SpaceX’s website.
