Revamping “Shady Corner” in the Garden 🌿🌿🌿
Today I am working on an area of my garden which I call “Shady Corner”. I garden in the equivalent of a US Hardiness Zone 8 on the south east coast of England and it is May right now.
Firstly I am cutting back all the flowers on my Brunneras, then removing a large dead Lemon Cypress Tree and an old Rhododendron which has never been happy in my alkaline soil.
I’m also removing 3 bottomless pots and I’ll be storing these in case I want to use them in a future project. I am also taking up my stepping stones so that I can redistribute all the mulch and tidy up the area.
I’m also taking out a dead Ilex Crenata and a Fatsia Spiders Web and giving an update on the new planter currently under construction around my raised pond.
All in all, a busy morning in the garden giving Shady Corner a bit of a much needed revamp. Next stop is the plant nursery 😁
