Most people will remember the heinous destruction of archaeological sites committed by ISIL from 2014 to 2016, but the efforts to recover the sites are less well-known. In this video, I will cover the work of four universities at the site of the Assyrian capital Nineveh and highlight the important ways archaeology is moving forward in Iraq.
