#10 Cycling Switzerland to Southeast Asia: Turkey’s South Coast

This week, we continued our ride through the south of Turkey, cycling along the coast and into the mountains. We took a few rest days to properly recover before tackling the steep climbs ahead.

We visited Kuşadası, a coastal town popular with holidaymakers, and passed through several small towns where we were met with generous hospitality and genuine kindness from locals. Their openness and warmth were a highlight of the week.

We camped by the sea and in quiet spots near remote villages. The roads took us through challenging zig-zag climbs, followed by rewarding views and long, enjoyable descents. It was a week of contrasts—effort and rest, quiet and connection, coast and mountain.
