Tariff policies are being changed just about every week in 2025 but if some of them stick, we're looking at a kind of trade policy that hasn't been used since the 1930s.

So I went down a bit of a rabbit hole, to learn about the impact high tariffs had on the 1929 stock market crash and their role in turning a financial crisis into a multi-year depression.
