Exploring an ABANDONED Motel and Conference Centre, Northern Ontario Canada

This now abandoned motel and conference centre in Northern Ontario was built roughly 50 years ago. The age of the hotel and the changing landscape in the area caused the owners to shut the business down, and reevaluate their business plan for success.

In late 2019 they closed the motel down with plans to build a larger and more modern facility in its place.

With a first nations casino not far away that was changing ownership, the owners of the hotel wanted to hold off to see the business strategy for the new casino owners before they solidified their plans for their new facility

Now, the property sits vacant, semi boarded up and the project seems to have stalled as there has been no activity on site on over one year.
