Urban Exploring an Abandoned and Condemned School Board Headquarters
This long-abandoned and condemned school board headquarters building is located in one of the oldest residential neighbourhoods in its city. The entire facility consists of three buildings, the original was built in 1922, followed by additions in 1956 and 1963.
This building served as the local school board administration building from 1922 until 1998 at which time it was sold to a property development company who has unfortunately say on the land and done nothing with it.
There have been no less than three attempts at building on this site and all plans have fallen through, continuing to leave this historic building as a stain on the neighbourhood.
It does see use from time to time as a training ground for the local police department's tactical unit and it has consistently been a destination for the local homeless population and curious urban explorers.
