The Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on the ancient civilizations continues with a video a second video on the evolution of the Indo-European Languages. Previously we gave a summary of how this language family formed and how the languages belonging to each are still connected to each other ( • Evolution of the Indo-European Langua... ), while this second video will cover the Eastern language families. We explore the eastern branches of the Indo-European language family. From Armenian, spoken in the Caucasus, to Albanian, with roots in ancient Illyria, we uncover unique linguistic evolutions. We then move into Anatolia to rediscover Hittite and Phrygian in Anatolian & Lost Tongues. In Balto-Slavic, we follow the rise of languages like Russian and Polish. Further east, Indo-Iranian & Tocharian trace ancient migrations into South and Central Asia, revealing deep connections from Sanskrit to Pashto. Join us in this linguistic journey across millennia and cultures in The Eastern Indo-European Puzzle.
