It has been a week since the severe flood in Zhidan County, Yan'an, Shaanxi. Local residents revealed that rescue efforts were largely undertaken by the public. The area is still being cleaned up. Many people did not have time to escape and suffered heavy casualties. However, the local government blocked the news and dispatched police to prevent people from approaching the disaster area to shoot videos.
