Developed during the Cold War to counter advanced Soviet submarines, these nuclear-powered vessels feature a General Electric S6G reactor, these subs can reach speeds reportedly exceeding 37 knots and depths up to 1,475 feet.

The thing that makes these subs much stealthier is Their HY-80 steel hulls and teardrop design. it can minimize acoustic signatures, allowing them to operate undetected while protecting carrier battle groups or conducting solo missions.

Stealth is not enough, they're armed with a versatile arsenal. Los Angeles-class subs carry Mark 48 ADCAP torpedoes, Tomahawk cruise missiles (with a 2,500 km range), and Harpoon anti-ship missiles, enabling strikes against submarines, surface ships, and land targets.
Later models (Flight II/III) include 12 vertical launch tubes for rapid Tomahawk deployment, while all variants can deploy mines like the Mark 60 CAPTOR. Let them cook the enemy with this kind of weapon!
