Stuck in Quicksand While Hiking the Second-Largest Canyon in the World

Having sailed to Namibia, we couldn’t set off across the ocean without exploring the amazing natural environment around us. Venturing into the Namibian interior with cruising friends, we took on the challenge of hiking the Fish River Canyon. Along the way, we discovered stunning landscapes and breathtaking desert night skies.

We have been sailing around the world for six years after setting off from England in 2016 aboard our 37ft sailboat, Florence. Join us as we share the highs, lows, and challenges of traveling the world by boat—sailing offshore across the oceans, exploring remote locations, and living off the grid in our tiny floating home.
