In this video we are revisiting the Roman legions and tackling the origins of their names and numbers, which its soldiers gave their lives to protect. As the strongest units in the Roman army, and perhaps in the ancient world, the soldiers in the Roman legions grew connected to their home units and their history, going as far as to state their legion's name and number on their tombstones.
