HARDWORK IS INDISPENSIBLE. EP 1. By Dumisani Lingamangali Ncube [Pre-recorded]
HARDWORK IS INDISPENSIBLE.
(Episode 1: Swimming out of Poverty)
Reading this article is not much to ask but some people may not even be willing to work that hard. All of us want to be successful, all of us want a comfortable life but not all of us are will to work hard for the life we desire. Clearly if you are willing to out work, out improve and out perform others then you are on the right track because hard work is the baseline on which success is built.
From a very young age I knew that hardwork alone may not make me succeed but that it would certainly increase my chances of success. That is why when I was trading in Goats as a Teenage, I would walk with Goats for 12 hours straight without complaining of being tired. When starting the Tech Company, we would almost break nights working because I knew that, therein lies the secret to success.
I find it quite offensive and insulting when people say what I have today is as a result of luck because quite frankly all that I am now took hours, days, months and years of pure hardwork. Thinking about it now, had I worked even harder I would be further ahead than I am today.
It is enough for you want something you have never had yet sit back and wait on a genie to grant you that desire. Deliberate steps should be taken and these are the three things that hardwork did for me and can surely do for you.
1. Hard work Leads to Mastery. In whichever field you may be in, if you work hard in it you inevitably become a master in it. It could be Public speaking, Singing, Sales, Writing, Instrumentalist etc. Mastery does not require you to be perfect but it does require you to put in hardwork. Excellence is borne not of any particular innate ability but of practice and with hardwork comes this excellence in a particular field. Despite being an accountant I prepared my most famous 12minutes presentation in Botswana talking about the power of the Brain in which I spent sleepless nights memorizing scientific words on how the brain works and that Africa Must Think. The hardwork put in that presentation made it possible for me to be invited across Africa, and my hourly charge to speak instantly became $5000.
2. Hard work Leads to Luck. The harder you work, the luckier you get because luck occurs when opportunity meets with a high level of preparedness. A number of opportunities that have changed my life found me waiting for them prepared and ready.
3. Hard work Leads to Confidence in Oneself. You could have felt it when you work so hard preparing for an exam, that you become so confident such that you enter an exam smiling and excited when others are worried in anxiety. When you have worked hard, confidence comes naturally.
Start working hard today and start where you are. There are a lot of people that are employed and would proudly say, “I am an employee, I do not have to workhard here, I will start working hard when I start my own Company” You are not a robot to change your work culture overnight. That is why people have new year revolutions which last the first five days of the year because traits cannot be built instantly but over time.
In your pursuit to bid farewell to poverty, let hard work be your accomplice otherwise forget about success or sustaining wealth.
