Godefroid Staes (fl. 1775)

Flemish composer. Nothing is known about his life and career. Some sources have related his surname to the composer Ferdinand Staes, also Flemish. As a composer, he wrote at least five sonatas for harpsichord with violin ad libitum (1775). Two further works are extant: the song 'La rose sans épines' and 'Marche et quatre grandes valzes pour le forte piano'.
