Riding the famous Ruta 40 in Argentinian Patagonia, the first stop is at the incredible 9,000 year old Cueva de Los Manos (Cave of the Hands), after which the day continued to amaze with herds of guanacos crossing the road in front of me, a literal plague of locusts across miles of road, an ostrich type bird called a rhea (!) and as always dogs trying to attack the motorcycle. This is what riding a motorcycle in Patagonia is all about, and was a welcome change after the trouble I'd had in the last few days.
