Jack and the Beanstalk

Once upon a time, a poor boy named Jack lived with his mother. Their only cow, Daisy, stopped giving milk, so Jack was sent to sell her. On the way, a strange man traded Jack five magic beans for the cow.

Jack’s mother was angry and threw the beans out the window. The next morning, a giant beanstalk had grown into the clouds! Curious, Jack climbed it and found a huge castle.

Inside, a giant lived with a magical hen that laid golden eggs and a harp that played music by itself. Jack waited until the giant slept, then took the hen and the harp.

The giant woke up and chased Jack down the beanstalk. Jack shouted to his mother, “Quick! Bring the axe!” Together, they chopped the beanstalk. The giant fell, and Jack and his mother were safe.

With the magical treasures, Jack and his mother lived happily ever after.
