Senator Joe Manchin (I-WV) made his final chamber floor speech. He said that “as my time here comes to an end, I want you to know that my belief in the potential of this institution-and in the people it represents-remains as strong as ever... So, while I may be leaving the Senate, I’m not going far. My boat will still be docked here, ready to bring people together-Democrats, Republicans, Independents-anyone willing to sit down and talk.” Senator Manchin, who was retiring at the end of the 118th Congress, served 14 years in the Senate.
