Why I Quit Ballet
"In this vlog, I'm sharing an honest break down of why I quit ballet for a little while. You may know that I've recently been struggling with a ballet injury. For dancers, getting hurt sometimes is a normal part of the journey, but overcoming a dance injury as an adult beginner presents some different challenges.
Being that I'm starting ballet in my 20s and am now 30, I've always had a hard time facing the ""I'm already too late"" attitude. This unexpected injury that forced me to stop dancing brought up many of those same fears again.
So in this vlog, I want to share my real time ups and downs of facing the reality of a major health scare as well as a huge injury that stopped me in my tracks and how that effected my body and mindset. These days, I'm focusing on dance injury prevention as much as I can and diving into my self care rituals!
🍓 HI, I'M VERONICA VICCORA
Hi there! I'm Veronica, welcome to my beginner dance journey. When I was 17, I was told by a teacher that I would never be a ballerina. I let that thought control me for YEARS but now, in my late 20s, I moved to New York City and I'm finally starting ballet late. This is a space for me to document the ups and downs of learning how to do ballet in my 20s and show anyone that it's never too late to live your dreams. "
