#JONASBROTHERS EventElevator had the chance to meet Lighting Director Jonathan D. Martin on location at the current Jonas Brothers tour. The design for "Five Albums. One Night. The Tour" was created by acclaimed design and live production agency Silent House Group. A stylish V-shaped walkway and a separate B-stage brought the three Brothers closer to their fans. The really powerful lighting rig was a playful homage to iconic PAR-can-lights from rock history. The 72 Vari-Lite VL5LEDs in particular supported this vision. Another workhorse for beam and keylight tasks was the 100+ VL3600 Profiles. Lighting Director Jonathan D. Martin also explains other important lighting tools and gives some insights into the programming with the grandMA3 platform. Additionally FOH engineer Adam Robinson discusses his mixing challenges and reveals details of the d&b audiotechnik line-arrays.
