Program notes:
Machines have been an integral part of our current civilisation since the Industrial Revolution. However reliable the machines, they are still prone to glitches and errors (think of your computer - blue screen of deaths!). In Glitch Machine, I imagine a massive mechanical machine which at first fails to function properly (a large glitch). Fixed, it eventually breaks down again, halting motion at the very end. The music focuses on timbral, textural and gestural transformations, representing and reimagining the noise created by the machine mostly through (contemporary) instrumental techniques. This includes strings overpressure and double reed multiphonics.
